As he continued to patrol the area by himself, looking around and keeping an eye out for any predators, his nose suddenly picked up on the smell of iron. It didn't take him long to put together that he was smelling fresh blood, something that caused him to become extremely alarmed. Next came the sounds of animals, some sounded like violent chirps of birds while others seemed to be softer and much more panicked. He didn't like the soft, almost innocent noises that were being overwhelmed by the cacophony of birds, and so Sojiro's hands and feet would slam against the ground as he would run forward with as much speed as he could! It didn't take more than a few moments for him to come to a dreadful sight...
In front of him, there was blood spread across the opening freely, several small bodies laying around spread out. The bodies seemed to once belong to those of white bunnies, with long tails and elegant wings. They were cute creatures, or they probably were, when their eyes were in the right places and so were their intestines. The sound of flapping wings and a scuffle not too far off caused Sojiro to move off in that direction with his continued momentum! Coming into view now was the sight of two more bunnies trying their best to fight off and escape two large falcon-like birds! The large birds squawked and flew forward, tearing to pieces easily one of the rabbits. With a disapproving grunt, Sojiro would run forward and draw out several senbon and release them!
In terms of hunting, Sojiro knew what he was doing, so the senbon easily flew through the air and found their marks! A few senbon drove into the necks' of the giant birds, following by their wings. The attack was precise and it only took a moment before both birds were on the ground, trying their best to make soft noises as they slowly choked on their own blood. Sojiro wasn't usually one for violence against animals, especially since he understood the need to hunt and survive! But there was something about this situation that had caused him to stop them from eating, perhaps it was whatever happened with his comrades... Could it be weighing on his conscious? It didn't really matter because the last bunny started to fall from the sky and Sojiro moved forward, hands catching the creature before it hit the ground.
Sojiro would move onto his knees quickly, using one hand to try and check the wounds of the rabbit while placing it down on the ground. He would pull out some wire, a needle, bandages, and the whole nine before he'd start patching up the bunny. It wouldn't take more than ten or so minutes before the rabbit's life was no longer in harm, laying on the ground asleep. Sojiro would take the creature into his arms and let out a soft breath, nestling it close to him before he'd continue on his patrol of the area.
