Sunset Fight On The Bridge

The sun was starting to set as Arashi arrived on the bridge he was supposed to protect, From who or what, they hadn't told him, so he just went there with most of his ninja equipment, his custom katana on the left hip, a windmill shuriken on his back and a pouch with five exploding notes was tied to the right side of his waist. He also wore his new enhanced cloak, being as ready as he could be he waited for his opponent to show up while appreciating the beauty of the place

It was a bridge through a river, it extended for around 30 meters and was 10 meters wide, the river itself led to a patch of forest, the birds could be heard singing, and some fish were swimming through the fast current of the river. Here Arashi waited, for his opponent to show up, in this small trance-like state, he remained, trying to be aware of his surroundings as to not be surprised.

An eagle cried high up in the skies, his eyes looking for a sizeable prey. The pupils of the airborne predator narrowed, spotting a figure down below. It was a man, dressed almost like a samurai. He waited on a bridge like a classic tail. His opponent was on the other side, a woman. She was on the other side of bridge, waiting for him to wake up from his meditative state. She felt the weight of the great bridge beneath her, creaking heavily with the shifting of her weight.

The river was just below knee deep and was roughly 3 meters high up. It was calm but made dark from the shadow of the bridge. There another predator awaited, swimming silently through the waters. In between the rocks and crevices.

Shizuka was dressed for battle. Her usual cloak and scarf were not there. But her she had Flak Jacket, over her crop top, Hot pants, bandages wrapped on her legs and arms, a little hang cape on her right arm. She had a Katana strapped to her back and waist. Various other weapons on her person as well.

She waited a while before she picked up a smoothed river stone and flung it at Arashi's head.

Arashi was actually in an outward meditation instead of an internal one, Basically, he was listening around and being aware of his surroundings rather than being just focusing on his breathing, so when Shizuka picked up the stone Arashi turned towards her, seeing it almost too late he dodged in a hurry, getting a bit out of balance but still dodging it. "Hey, that's a cheap shot!" He would call out to Shizuka, And then realized that she would be his opponent. "So we're gonna fight, Imino-san." He readied himself by Lowering his center of mass and grabbing the scabbard of his katana with his left hand, right hand hovering over the hilt of the sword, he waited for a response and a movement on her part.

Shizuka watched as he readied himself. A lowered stance, ready to draw. So he was that kind of practitioner. Shizuka took normal footsteps slowly closing in the gap between the two. She looked at his shoulders, feet, she watched his hands hovered gently over his blade. What she paid attention to the most was his unique looking sword.

Shizuka slowly drew her Katana, letting the metal sing on the scabbard on her left. She held her Katana in her right hand, the blade pointed towards her left, arm tucked in as if to slash sideways. Her pace would begin to pick up as she got closer and closer.

She would leave roughly 1.5 meters as she took a heavy step forward, her body pivoted on her right foot, or at least that was the appearance of it. She would be feigning an attack but in reality, she would merely stop just before her swinging motion.

Arashi waited in place as Shizuka got closer when she took the heavy step forward, he did one short step with the right leg and a long one with the left crossing them over, at that point he attacked Shizuka with his left arm attempting to hit her with the hilt of the sword, he aimed around the height of her stomach.

If the hit landed he would then draw his sword if she dodged it he would follow it up with a high roundhouse kick with his right leg that is now in the back.

Shizuka would bring her sheathe inwards, as the hilt came she naturally let her sheathe block and deflect it over. It would redirect his jab with a little contact and bring him closer to her already tucked in and poised strike.

She would merely alter her angle, letting the blade hover horizontally on his stomach. She would slash at him.

Arashi couldn't see a way to avoid the slash at this distance but that didn't mean he wouldn't do anything though. he concentrated his Lightning chakra into his right hand as He inhaled sharply through his teeth, the slash drew some blood, then he grabbed Shizuka by the neck electrifying her, he lifted the girl with one hand and while he was shocking her, he tried to slap an explosion tag on her back in a hard to reach place. "I see you're going all out then allow me to do so as well"

Arashi then threw Shizuka 2 meters forward and then jumped backward by 4 meters creating some distance between the two.

Disappointing, his fighting style was so rudimentary, movements of desperation. She raised her to sheathe, intercepting his clawing hand of lightning. She felt the jolt go through his hands to her wooden sheathe and to her left arm. Thankfully the effects were dulled by the wood.

Shizuka would make the distance, moving back from the kamikaze like movements of Arashi. Energy would flow through her blade, a light ethereal layer coating the metal. She would continue to move back as he tried to attach a tag on her.

Arashi stopped right as Shizuka Started to run. "So you slash at me and then run away, all without even saying hi, huh." Arashi unsheathed his sword. "Then... I guess I should start being less aggressive." He smiled a little, He would stay in place, waiting for Shizuka to get closer, his bleeding was minimal, So he wasn't weakened almost at all. He got in position, left leg back, right leg forward, the sword in between him and Shizuka. he would wait for a while if Shizuka got closer to at least 3 meters from him he would do an upwards slash at the air from left to right using his weapon ability. hopefully catching her off-guard. If she didn't get close after a while he would take out his windmill shuriken, spin and put an explosion note on it while his back was covering what he did, and then throw it towards her, he would wait until the windmill shuriken was as close as it could be and then explode it. Whatever he did, he would then pass some chakra to his scabbard while getting closer to her.

Pity, he stopped chasing. Shizuka stopped, she gathered herself once more before she gathered chakra to her blade once more. She would move in closer not quite having decided on how to attack her. She saw his body movements as he got ready to swing. He swung pre-emptively towards her, Shizuka not being in the range of a normal sword strike. Shizuka side-stepped, watching as a blade of chakra flew past her. She'd drop her possessed sword on the ground during her attempts to dodge the attack.

So, he also knew how to extend his range of attack. Shizuka would draw her second blade, channeling chakra through it once more as she would make a horizontal slash with two hands just 2 meters away from him. An arc of ghost-like energy would shoot itself out as move rapidly towards Arashi.

After doing his slash and seeing how Shizuka barely dodged it, Arashi started to walk towards her. As the ghost-like arc of energy traveled towards him, he didn't seem to move a hair, as soon as it touched him though he got replaced by his scabbard, he re-appeared behind Shizuka and immediately slashed downward towards her in a diagonal motion, right to left, regardless of the result he would aim back towards Shizuka's new position and slash again, in an upwards manner, from left to right. This time using his weapon ability once more.

Weapon ability -10CP one from now and one that I forgot last time.

Poof and the man had disappeared. Her eyes scanned left and right, her red eyes searching for traces of him. "BEHIND!" Her spirit called out to her. Shizuka turned around raising a sword above her head. Arashi's blade would clash with hers but her late defense would see his blade sink into her shoulder. She fought against him, blades interlocked. The pain shooting through her, it wasn't deep but if she didn't get out soon it would become a much deeper wound.

She'd gather her breathing before she disengaged, pulling back and dodging his swing. She would recall her spirit back towards her.

Knowing how dangerous she can be, Arashi decided to not give Shizuka any breathing time, so he made his sword hover next to him, and quickly used his Lightning Birds jutsu, aiming it directly at her, he would follow up by grabbing his sword again, running towards her with it in hand, and slashing at her closest knee.

Yellow chakra would spark off from Arashi as they formed into what looked like canaries. Buzzing and chirping they flew towards Shizuka. What a pain this was, she bobbed and weaved, trying to avoid them. They nipped at her sending jolts of light electricity through her. They felt like static shocks, but much more annoying. A few buzzed her the feeling of numbness spreading through her body. She however only needed to hold out a few moments.

Even as Arashi chased after her, in order to slash and hack at her, her ghostly spirit was returning to her. She had dropped the spirit sword when she had rushed at Arashi. He had then swapped position, popping up behind her. The spirit had already been returning at that point and as Arashi planned to hit her with his strike, her spirit would move through Arashi and possess him.

Shizuka would free her hands as she would perform the heart-stopper Jutsu. An icy hand would grip his heart, holding him in place. Paralyzed and unable to move, Shizuka would pick her sword up and put it to his throat, daring him to make a move.

As he got closer to Shizuka, Arashi got suddenly paralyzed an icy feeling all over his body, emanating from his heart, and for a while, he couldn't even move. It was then that Shizuka grabbed her sword and came closer to him, putting it to his throat, Arashi could barely move he had to either give up or...

In less than a second, he stealthily activated his Lightning Dash jutsu, he disappeared for a second as a lightning trail appeared 2 meters behind him and then to the side of Shizuka ending slightly behind her, this lightning trail was the way he'd done as he moved faster than the eye could see thanks to his jutsu. as soon as he was behind her he slashed again, this time horizontally, Hoping that she couldn't react fast enough to his disappearance to block the attack.
