“Ami…you’re here!” chirped a very friendly and eager woman as she saw Ami appear. She was working for the local authorities and had been dispatched to the crime scene. Apparently she had been notified that the Hyuuga would be coming to help search for whoever was behind the gruesome murders, as she had tried when the first body was discovered. “Hey Mai, what we got?” she would give the woman a big grin, happy to see a familiar face for once. Ami stopped a few feet away from the body, who was being attended to by a coroner, she gathered, as she saw a short man in a white robe busy inspecting the body. She would go get the details later. For now she wanted Mai to tell her anything she knew. “Well Ami, as you can see, the murder happened yesterday night, or closer to this morning. The heavy rain probably washed away a lot of evidence from the crime scene though.” Indeed, the remnants of rainfall was evident just by taking a quick glance. This would make her life even more difficult. The kunoichi nodded her head and moved slowly to where the coroner was still knelt.
“Stop!” a man called out to her and she froze. He was a muscular man with short brown hair, wearing a uniform and carrying a metal briefcase. She guessed that he was on the forensics team and bowed to him. Perhaps he wasn’t sure who she was, as she showed him her headband and the mission scroll she had attained from the village. The man would give her a stiff nod, and motion for her to follow him. They moved off to the side, where she guessed he would fill her in on what they had found. Ami was in no way trying to tamper with the crime scene so she was glad to be filled in on details without having to physically get close to the body. “We didn’t find any footprints but we’re working on any fingerprints. Right now all we know is that the guy suffered multiple stab rooms to his body. From the incisions we can safely say that they were made from multiple weapons.” She nodded her head. The coroner would come towards them as well, having seen them talking.
“The deceased is a forty year-old local doctor. His time of death was sometime between midnight and two in the morning. He suffered from a fatal slash to his neck, even though he has close to twenty stab wounds over his body. We will try to see if there’s any skin or fibers underneath his fingernails but the rain would mostly have washed any away.” The girl again nodded her head as he continued, “There’s also the signature A painted on his body.” That was no surprise for her though, as she recalled the body they had found weeks ago. Upon further inquiries, it seemed that the man was going home from work, having stayed behind at his clinic the night before and had been ambushed in the middle of the road. Whoever or whatever had killed him must have really hated the man or had wanted to make sure he was beyond dead. The Hyuuga would still be mystified as to the people responsible for the crimes. There was certainly a connection between each murder, since the way of killing were almost identical. It agitated her that she had nothing more to go on than the bodies and the painted A on their bodies. She hoped that there would be some sort of lead soon, before yet another body would be found.
