Seeing how fast the two of them had climbed up the ranks, it wasn't really a surprise to Sojiro that the two men had found themselves being sent out on the same missions together. Sojiro wasn't really getting tired of Genkumaru, he wasn't sure that he could, but he wondered if it bothered the other man to always be partnered with them. They lived together and then to also do all their missions together, the idea that Gen would eventually snap had crossed his mind but something in his gut told him he was thinking about it too much. Regardless, he did his best to push all of the thoughts like that to the back of his mind and would turn his attention back to their mission at hand. The duo had traveled across the land until they got to the Baulder Woodlands, although their business wasn't even inside of the town, or even the forest! Actually, their mission took them to the northen part of the region where cliffside would meet small beaches and the ocean, a combination that left the area fairly barren. Of course, Sojiro had thought that their mission was a joke, some type of prank or false spotting by the villagers. The mission wasn't important right now, though.
"I'm telling you, no matter how you cut it, it doesn't matter what he did for the country. Alexander Ninja-lton deserved what he got, as tragic of a story it is." The man would say while gently smacking a hand against the extremely broad chest of Genkumaru as they walked through the forest and towards the cliffsides where they should be able to find their targets fairly easily. Sojiro wasn't expecting the conflict to even exist, let alone for it to be difficult, so he didn't really bring too many items with him in terms of weapons. Well, the man knew they were hunting animals or sorts, so it wasn't like he would bring a lot of items with him anyway. He believed strongly that he could take down any creature without using his poisons or things of the sort, this encounter wasn't going to be any different. Sojiro was dressed in his normal attire, even with his red bandana and everything. Sojiro would shake his head a bit as they walked, still not believing what their mission was supposed to be, "Can you believe the reports? I mean, I know some crazy creatures exist but this? I mean, c'mon Gen, how crazy does a giant Turtle creature and and giant slug sound? And they're working together? Bunch of bullshit, I say." Sojiro would say, being the same skeptic that he always was, letting his nose stay alert for any smells that me be foreign to him or the area.
